Frequently asked questions

YouTrade is a simulated prop-firm evaluation on MatchTrader, not a broker.

General Questions

What is Youtrade?
YouTrade is a prop trading evaluation and education platform. We help traders prove their skills by completing our trading challenges. If you pass, you get access to a funded account — and you keep up to 90% of the profits generated. We provide the funding, you focus on trading.
Are you regulated? Do you have a license?
YouTrade operates as a proprietary trading firm, not as a broker or investment advisor. We do not manage client funds or provide brokerage services — we fund traders with our own capital through a demo environment and share profits based on performance. As such, we are not required to be regulated by financial authorities in most jurisdictions. However, we take compliance seriously: - We use secure and reputable technology providers. - We are a registered resident of Astana Hub, the largest tech ecosystem in Central Asia. - Our model follows global industry standards used by top prop firms around the world. If regulations around prop trading evolve in the future, we’re ready to adapt accordingly.
What is a prop challenge?
A prop challenge is a trading evaluation used to test your skills before giving you access to a funded trading account. At YouTrade, you choose a challenge plan and trade on a demo account with virtual capital. If you meet the profit target while following the risk rules, you "pass" the challenge — and we reward you by giving access to a funded account where you trade and we split the profits. Think of it as an interview for traders: ✔ You prove your strategy works ✔ We give you capital ✔ You keep up to 90% of the profits
How to pass your challenge?
To pass a YouTrade challenge, you need to: Reach the profit target – each plan has a fixed % goal based on your account size. Follow the risk rules – avoid hitting daily or overall drawdown limits. Place at least one trade in 30 days – otherwise you will lose your account for inactivity. If you complete the challenge within the rules, you’ll get access to a funded account where you can trade and earn real payouts. Tip: Discipline and risk management are just as important as profits.
How can I buy a challenge?
Buying a challenge account on YouTrade is quick and easy — just like any online purchase. Here’s how it works: 1) Choose your challenge Select the type of challenge you want, the amount of capital you'd like to trade, and your preferred trading platform . 2) Enter your details Fill in your name, email, and address — this helps us create your account and send important updates. 3) Create your order Once everything is selected, click “Buy” to create your order. You’ll be redirected to a secure payment page. 4) Choose your payment method We offer several convenient options: - Bank Card (Visa/Mastercard) – We accept all major cards from any country. - Crypto deposit As soon as payment is complete, you’ll receive login details and instructions by email — and you can start trading right away.
Do you have any inactivity rule?
Yes. If there is no trading activity on your account for 30 days, your account will be considered inactive and may be closed automatically. This helps us keep the system fair and resources available for active traders.
Can I buy several challenges at once?
Clients are allowed to have multiple accounts assigned to the same challenge simultaneously, regardless of the trading platform. The total number of challenge or funded accounts may still be subject to limits determined by the Company and can be adjusted from time to time based on aggregate or individual risk considerations.
Can I request a trading platform change?
No, once your challenge is activated, you cannot change the trading platform. Please note that we currently offer only one trading platform — MatchTrader. The platform is selected automatically during purchase, and after the account is created, switching platforms is not possible, even if you haven’t started trading yet. If you have any questions about the platform before purchasing, feel free to contact our support team.
What is KYC and why do I need to verify my identity?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a standard identity verification process used to confirm who you are. At YouTrade, KYC is required when you transition to a funded account. This is necessary for: Compliance and security Preventing fraud and misuse Ensuring payouts go to the correct person Before receiving your first payout, you will need to submit a valid government-issued ID and complete identity verification. This process helps keep the platform safe for all traders and protects your funds. We do not share your data with third parties, and all documents are handled with strict confidentiality.

Trading Rules

How do you calculate the Daily Loss Limit?
The Daily Loss Limit is the maximum your account can lose in any given day. The Daily Loss Limit is calculated using the previous day’s balance, which resets at 10 PM UTC (+0). The Daily Stop compounds with the increase in your account. Example: If your prior day’s end-of-day balance (10PM UTC+0) was $100,000, your account would violate the daily stop loss limit if your equity reached $95,000 during the day. If your floating equity is +$5,000 on a $100,000 account, your new-day (10PM UTC+0) max loss is still based on your previous day’s balance ($100,000). So, your daily loss limit would remain $95,000.
How do you calculate the Max Drawdown (STATIC)?
Maximum drawdown is the maximum your account can drawdown before you would hard breach your account. When you open the account, your Maximum Drawdown is set at a defined % of your starting balance. This % is static and does not trail.
Is there a breach for inactivity?
Yes. We will consider you inactive and your account will be breached if you do not have any trading activity on your account for 30 consecutive days.
What is 1 lot equal to on the Trading Platform?
• Forex: 1 lot = $100,000 notional • Indices: 1 lot = 1 contract • Exceptions: • SPX500: 1 lot = 10 contracts • JPN225: 1 lot = 500 contracts • Cryptos: 1 lot = 1 coin • Silver: 1 lot = 5,000 ounces • Gold: 1 lot = 100 ounces • Oil: 1 lot = 100 barrels • Stocks: 1 lot = 1 share
What is the difference between a Hard Breach and Soft Breach rule?
Soft breach means that we will close all trades that have violated the rule. However, you can continue trading in your Assessment or Funded Account. ● Hard breach means that you violated either the Daily Loss Limit or Max Drawdown rule. Both rules constitute a hard breach. In the event you have a hard breach, you will fail the Assessment or have your Funded Account taken away.
Can I hold positions over the weekend?
Positions can be held over the weekend
What is the 3 minimum trading days requirement?
Each phase requires at least three trading days to be completed in order to pass to the next phase or qualify for a withdrawal. A trading day is counted as long as any trading activity takes place during the day, regardless of whether the result is profitable or not. Please note that daily metrics are updated at 05:00 PM (Eastern time).
What happens if I do not meet the 3 trading days conditions?
You cannot complete the phase or request a payout until you have three qualifying days and have met all other phase rules. You must keep trading until both conditions are satisfied.

Funded Accounts

What are the rules for the Funded Account?
The rules for the Funded Account are exactly the same as your Assessment account. However, with a Funded Account, there is no profit target.
If I have a hard breach in my Funded Account and there are gains in the account, do I forfeit those gains?
If a hard breach occurs on your funded account, you will not be eligible to withdraw any profits. For example, if you have a $100,000 account and grow it to $110,000, but then commit a hard breach, the account will be closed, and no portion of the profits will be paid out. This rule applies regardless of the amount of profit made prior to the violation.
Am I subject to any position limits?
The maximum position that you may open is determined by your available margin. We reserve the right to increase the margin requirement, limit the number of open positions you may enter or maintain in the Funded Account at any time, and to revise in response to market conditions the drawdown levels at which trading in the Funded Account will be halted. We or the Broker reserve the right to refuse to accept any order.
Do we manipulate the pricing or executions you receive in your Funded Account?
No. We do not have any control over pricing from the liquidity provider or on the executions on your trades.
How do I withdraw the gains in my Funded Account?
Traders can request a withdrawal of the gains in their funded account through their trader dashboard, but no more frequently than once every fourteen (14) days. If you make a profit in your funded account, you can request a withdrawal by clicking the "Withdraw" button in your trader dashboard and entering the amount you would like to withdraw. The minimum withdrawal amount after profit split is $100. All withdrawals are processed through the available outbound payment solutions. Withdrawals are available once every two (2) weeks. Withdrawal processing time is 24–48 business hours after the withdrawal request is submitted.
How Long does it take to receive my Funded Account?
After successful completion of the Assessment, the application for opening a Live (Funded) account is sent for processing. Processing of the application, including document verification, KYC (Know Your Customer) and signing of the Trader Agreement, takes at least 24-48 business hours.
Once I pass the Assessment am I provided with a demo or live account?
Once you pass the Assessment, we provide you with a funded account, backed by our capital. The capital in your funded Account is notional and may not match the amount of capital on deposit with the Liquidity Provider. A Funded Account is notionally funded when actual funds in the account (i.e., the equity in a Funded Account represented by the amount of capital) differs from the nominal account size (i.e., the size of the Funded Account that establishes the initial account value and level of trading). Notional funds are the difference between nominal account size and actual capital in a Funded Account. Use of notional funding does not impact your trading conditions in any way.
When can I withdraw the gains in my Funded Account and how does that affect my Maximum Drawdown?
Your first withdrawal can be requested at any time. Thereafter, you can request a withdrawal of the gains in your account every 14 days. To be eligible for a withdrawal, you must have at least three (3) trading days. This requirement applies both to the first withdrawal and to all subsequent ones. When a withdrawal is approved, we will also withdraw our share of the gains, and your max drawdown will remain unaffected. The drawdown does not reset when you request a withdrawal.
Who is the counterparty to my trades?
For purposes of managing risk and minimizing transaction costs, we may offset or negate market risk and act as the direct counterparty to certain trades initiated in the Account. Such trades are executed at prices provided by arm’s length third parties. This framework is intended to ensure you receive real market execution on your trades, while simultaneously allowing us to manage risk dynamically by routing existing positions or future orders to third parties for execution as we deem appropriate. We believe that such real market execution and dynamic risk management would not be possible or as cost-effective if trades were executed in simulated accounts. Regardless of whether we act as counterparty to your trades, the gain or loss on your funded account is not calculated differently. However, when we act as the counterparty to your trades, there is an inherent potential conflict of interest because your trades do not result in net gain or loss to us, as your trades would if we were not the direct counterparty.

Instant account

What is the Instant Funding Plan?
The Instant Funding Plan allows traders to start with a fully funded account without needing to complete an assessment phase.
Do I need to complete KYC or sign a trader contract to start trading in an Instant Funding Plan?

What happens if I do not pass KYC?

How do I withdraw the gains in my Instant Funded Account?
Traders can request a withdrawal of profits from their funded account through their trader dashboard at any time. However, withdrawals are limited to one request every 14 days. The minimum withdrawal amount is the greater of $100. When a withdrawal is approved, we will also withdraw our share of the gains, and your max trailing drawdown will lock in at your starting balance. The trailing drawdown does not reset when you request a withdrawal. Example: You grow your account from $100,000 to $120,000 and request a withdrawal of $16,000. In this case: You receive $12,800 (80%) We retain $3,200 (20%) After the withdrawal, your account balance becomes $104,000. Your Maximum Trailing Drawdown remains locked at $100,000. This means you can lose up to $4,000 before violating the Maximum Trailing Drawdown rule. If you withdraw all available profits from your funded account, the Maximum Trailing Drawdown will lock at the starting balance, leaving no buffer and potentially triggering a breach if equity falls below that level.
Can I use an Automated Strategy?
Subject to our policy on Prohibited Trading as described below, you can trade using an automated strategy.
How are taxes handled?

Upon purchasing an Instant Funding Plan, you will receive access to a trader dashboard where you can monitor your Instant Funded Account. The dashboard is updated in near real time as we calculate your account metrics. It is your responsibility to monitor your breach levels.
What brokers/liquidity providers do you use?
We utilize an aggregate source of pricing and liquidity from multiple brokers and liquidity providers. The current liquidity providers use a number of different tier 1 banks, prime brokers, market makers and other liquidity sources to derive their pricing, and those underlying liquidity providers change constantly. Aggregating liquidity providers while maintaining multiple sources of liquidity allows us to provide competitive pricing and execution, while reducing reliance on a sole liquidity provider. All market pricing and trade executions are provided by the brokers, without any alterations or modifications on our part. Moreover, we do not adjust transaction costs such as bid-offer spreads, markups/markdowns or swaps beyond what is set by our brokers. Please note that the composition of liquidity providers may vary depending on the trading platform.
How do you calculate the Daily Loss Limit?
The Daily Loss Limit is the maximum your account can lose in any given day. The Daily Loss Limit is calculated using the previous day’s balance, which resets at 10 PM UTC (00:00+0). The Daily Stop compounds with the increase in your account. Example: If your prior day’s end-of-day balance (10 PM UTC) was $100,000, your account would violate the daily stop loss limit if your equity reached $95,000 during the day. If your floating equity is +$5,000 on a $100,000 account, your new-day (10 PM UTC) max loss is still based on your previous day’s balance ($100,000). So, your daily loss limit would remain $95,000.
How do you calculate the Trailing Max Drawdown?
For instant plans, the Trailing Max Drawdown rule is applied. This level is based on 8% of the highest Equity (High Water Mark) reached on the account and is always tracked using Equity, not balance. Once the required profit threshold is reached, the trailing drawdown stops moving and becomes permanently fixed at the level of the initial balance. Example: Initial balance: $100,000 Initial trailing drawdown level: $92,000 ($100,000 - 8%) If your Equity increases to $102,000: New High Water Mark = $102,000 New trailing drawdown level = $93,840 ($102,000 - 8%) If your Equity then reaches $108,000: New High Water Mark = $108,000 New trailing drawdown level = $99,360 ($108,000 - 8%) If Equity continues to increase and the calculated trailing drawdown reaches the level of the initial balance, it will then be fixed permanently at $100,000 and will no longer move. Thus: Before being fixed, the trailing drawdown level is always equal to: High Water Mark - 8% of High Water Mark After being fixed, the drawdown level remains at 100% of the initial balance and no longer changes. A violation occurs if your Equity falls to or below this drawdown level.
● Soft breach means that we will close all trades that have violated the rule. However, you can continue trading in your Funded Account. ● Hard breach means that you violated either the Daily Loss Limit or Max Drawdown rule or the Inactivity rule. Violation of these rules constitute a hard breach. In the event you have a hard breach, you will have your Funded Account taken away.

Positions can be held over the weekend.

Prohibited Activities

What is the policy on Prohibited Trading Activity?
You are also prohibited from using any trading strategy that is expressly prohibited by the Company or the Liquidity Providers it uses. Such prohibited trading (“Prohibited Trading”) shall include, but not be limited to: ● Exploiting errors or latency in the pricing and/or platform(s) provided by the Liquidity Provider ● Utilizing non-public and/or insider information ● Front-running of trades placed elsewhere ● Trading in any way that jeopardizes the relationship that the Company has with a Liquidity Provider or may result in the canceling of trades ● Trading in any way that creates regulatory issues for the Liquidity Provider ● Utilizing any third-party strategy, off-the-shelf strategy or one marketed to pass challenge accounts ● Utilizing one strategy to pass an assessment and then utilizing a different strategy in a funded account, as determined by the Company in cooperation with Prop Account, LLC at their discretion ● Attempting to arbitrage an assessment account with another account with the Company or any third-party company, as determined by the Company in its sole and absolute discretion. ●Opening a position within 3 minutes before or after a News Event is prohibited. Any traders identified as having opened a position during a News Event are subject to having that position closed and the associated P&L removed from their account, having the leverage on their account reduced or having their account breached altogether. The Company has sole and absolute discretion in determining what constitutes a News Event. This rule is intended to protect the integrity of our program and is not meant to penalize traders who inadvertently trade through a news event. ● If the Company detects that your trading constitutes Prohibited Trading, your participation in the program will be terminated and may include forfeiture of any fees paid to the Company. Additionally, and before any Trader shall receive a funded account, the trading activity of the Trader under these Terms and Conditions shall be reviewed by both the Company and the Liquidity Provider to determine whether such trading activity constitutes Prohibited Trading. In the case of Prohibited Trading, the Trader shall not receive a funded account. ● Additionally, the Company reserves the right to disallow or block any Trader from participating in the program for any reason, in the Company’s sole and absolute discretion.
Gambling policies
Engaging in inappropriate risk management practices, such as gambling, “all-in” trading, or excessively leveraging positions, is strictly prohibited. Trading activity that resembles gambling—such as consistently placing trades prior to news releases or other binary events—will not be tolerated. Excessive risk-taking and gambling are defined by the percentage of an account risked in a single trade or across a series of trades or positions. An “all-in” trade refers to committing all or a substantial portion of available capital or margin to a single trade. Specifically, using more than 70% of your account balance or margin at any one time, or trading with your entire deposit, is considered a violation of risk management rules and will be treated as gambling behavior. Similarly, excessive and improper use of leverage occurs when a trader risks a significant portion of their account in one trade or across a series of one-directional trades and positions. If you are found to be engaging in such activities, the Company reserves the right to immediately close your account, and such closure may include the forfeiture of any fees or profits owed to you, at the Company’s sole discretion.
Copy trading
Copy trading from one account to another is only permitted if the trader owns all the accounts in question. Group trading, signal services, passing services, or any other methods that bypass individual strategy are not allowed. Engaging in trades that mirror or closely align with another trader or group of traders across multiple accounts is strictly prohibited. Using automated trading systems (EAs) or third-party trading strategies that facilitate copy trading is strictly prohibited.
Reverse Trading/Group Hedging
Hedging or executing reverse trades within a single account is not a prohibited trading activity. Executing a buy trade on one account and a sell trade on another account, or vice versa, is strictly prohibited. Group hedging across multiple accounts and/or coordinating opposing positions at one or multiple prop firms practice is strictly prohibited.
Evaluation Limits
Clients are allowed to have multiple accounts assigned to the same challenge simultaneously, regardless of the trading platform. The total number of challenge or funded accounts may still be subject to limits determined by the Company and can be adjusted from time to time based on aggregate or individual risk considerations.
